Hello! My name is Anike Olaitan, and I am a licensed social worker. I have 13 years hands-on experience in providing support, individual/group counseling, psychoeducation to children, youth, adults and families with mental health issues, special needs, homelessness, substance abuse and individuals/ families affected by sexual violence, grief/loss and trauma. Although I am trained and competent to work with a wide variety of issues, I am most passionate about helping children, youth, adults, and families live through life’s challenges including but not limited to stress, and anxiety management, depression, coping strategies, relationship issues and social skills. I use strength-based therapy in conjunction with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), crisis intervention, play therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy and other evidence-based approaches to work with you by focusing on your innate resources, resilience, and positive qualities in an effort to use your abilities to improve current quality of life and reduce problematic symptoms. Together we will explore possible solutions to your most pressing concerns. I look forward to providing you an individualized experience specific to your unique goals and individual needs in a warm, supportive environment.
