Dr. Poretsky is amazing! I've been dealing with chronic low back pain for 20+ years. Her exercise program along with the therapies in the office have me feeling great. Most days now I forget that I had this pain daily. I can't recommend her enough.

I have been having trouble with stiffness and pain in my neck. My doctor recommended trying physical therapy at Mecca Integrated Medical. I am so glad I did. Dr. Marina has helped me move better and lowered my pain. I am now able to actually turn my head far enough to back my car out of the driveway and not rely on the camera. Great therapist and great office.

Marina Poretsky, PT, DPT, graduated from Rutgers University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. She then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to earn her doctorate in physical therapy in 2007.
Since then, she has had experience working in outpatient physical therapy, with concentrations in both sports medicine and pediatrics focusing on gross motor development. Dr. Poretsky has been continually educated in Kinesio Taping, as well as the McKenzie Method, which is a comprehensive approach which utilizes physical therapy and exercise to centralize the source of the pain, allowing for specific, accurate diagnosis and treatment.
She is also certified in FAKTR, a concept developed for physicians in order to help treat patients with soft tissue fibrosis, chronic inflammation or scar tissue.

I was supposed to have surgery on my knee for my arthritis and cartilage, but I wanted to try other options before doing so. I am so happy I tried physical therapy first. I do have some pain based on how much I do, but I go back to the stretches and exercises Dr. Marina taught me. This allows me to keep the pain at a manageable level and still do the things I want to. If it gets too much I am able to return to the office to get more care with the doctor. 2 years and still no surgery!
