Hello, my name is Marisa Gonzales. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years of clinical care experience. I have experience providing mental health counseling to individuals across the lifespan with a variety of presenting concerns. I have interests in working with adults dealing with general health concerns, adjustment issues, depression, and anxiety. I specialize in gerontological issues and grief work, addressing challenges related to aging and the families affected. I am passionate about helping people discover their sense of purpose in life and regain control over their emotions. I enjoy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to help clients gain control over their lives and emotions to improve relationships, low self-worth, and quality of life in general. I have experience working inpatient and outpatient with children and families from diverse backgrounds and issues. My training started with a BA in Psychology from Arizona State University and a master's degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University, Arizona.
I am a native of Arizona. I enjoy hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with my kids and family.
