I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate practicing in Utah since 2024. Before entering the counseling field, I spent nearly 13 years working in oncology and biotechnology, where I co-founded and helped implement a mental health support program for patient-facing employees. This experience shaped my understanding of how chronic stress, grief, and major life transitions affect emotional well-being.
I earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. My background supports a holistic, mind-body approach that considers emotional health alongside stress, lifestyle factors, and daily functioning.
My therapeutic style is integrative, collaborative, and grounded in compassion and authenticity. I commonly use mindfulness-based practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based therapy, and Internal Family Systems-informed approaches. I work actively with clients to develop practical tools for managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, often introducing skills early in therapy.
I am certified in intuitive eating and support individuals working to improve their relationship with food and body image. This includes reducing guilt or anxiety around eating and building more balanced, sustainable patterns.
I work with adolescents and adults ages 14 and older, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, ADHD, relationship challenges, body image concerns, and life transitions. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to move forward.
