I have an extensive history in working with a diverse clientele regarding age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. I primarily treat clients experiencing symptoms of trauma, depression, and anxiety especially as they relate to one’s ability to interact with the world they live in and advocate for their needs. I help my clients overcome adversity and/or abuse in their journey towards advocating for themselves, developing a voice, and learning to take up space.
I believe that there is no one way to achieve good mental health and, in light of this, I tailor my treatment to each individual client to make sure that it best suits their abilities, context, and intersectionality. I utilize approaches from Attachment Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Crisis Management, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I help my clients get to the root of their mental health issues, create tools to cope with adversities, and build off their strengths to achieve their lifestyle goals.
I understand how debilitating mental illness can be which is why I am passionate about providing support to my clients to help them grow, and feel heard and valid. My clients can expect a safe space to freely express themselves, guidance in exploring new perspectives, and to feel empowered to manage their mental distress so that they can live a fuller life.
