Hello, I'm Michael Cotter. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate through life's most challenging moments. My journey in mental health has equipped me with a deep understanding and a compassionate approach to care, particularly in the areas of trauma and substance use disorders.
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My background includes leading a community mental health agency, which has provided me with a well-rounded perspective and a wealth of experience. This role has honed my skills in addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief.
My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we will work on developing strategies to manage stress, improve family and intimate relationships, and overcome antisocial behaviors.
Specializing in trauma and trauma-related mental health disorders, I am passionate about helping clients who have experienced significant life events. I also have extensive experience in anger management, addiction, and spirituality, which allows me to offer a holistic approach to therapy.
