Michelle Rush is a Master’s Level Mental Health Counselor who earned her Master of Science from St. John Fisher College. Michelle works with children, adolescents, and adults, providing individualized counseling. She has experience working with various presenting concerns including anxiety, developmental disabilities, dependency issues, trauma, interpersonal relationships, parental training, and severe mental illness. Michelle is an LGBTQ+ ally, supporting all intimate relationship types within the therapeutic relationship.
Michelle utilizes an integrative holistic approach, collaborating with the client to work towards their personal goals, incorporating aspects of mind, body, and social health. Some specific therapeutic modalities Michelle uses include DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Work and Person-Centered Therapy, & Play Therapy. Michelle’s goal is to create an empathetic, nonjudgmental environment in which an authentic therapeutic bond can be established to help clients move towards self-compassion, awareness, and growth.
