Morghann is my 18 year old daughter's therapist. She is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, thorough, and compassionate. She has made efforts to reach out my daughter's school and speak with her school psychologist and advisor, and has made extremely helpful recommendations for her treatment. My daughter really likes her, and my daughter rarely bonds with therapists. Highly recommended.

Morghann Sims, LMSW, MPH, is a licensed master social worker who joins us as a trauma therapist on the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) team at Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates. She holds dual graduate degrees from New York University jointly with the Silver School of Social Work and the School of Global Public Health. Morghann brings her experience in program implementation in social justice research and advocacy to BHBA. Along with being an integral part of the clinical CBT treatment team, specializing in trauma, she is developing and rolling out curriculum for the required staff training program to enhance multicultural awareness and increased competency in therapeutic spaces. At NYU, her studies concentrated around global health leadership strategies and data-driven utilization. She spent time in Kenya working on vaccination strategies, and as a research scientist at the prestigious McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research at NYU, studying food scarcity and working firsthand with families in low-income communities to combat this issue. At SUNY College of Optometry, Morghann provided evidence-based clinical care to children and adults suffering from eye ailments, to aid in coping and assistance with integration back into their communities. Morghann is driven by her passion to transform knowledge into action and has risen to leadership positions in many professional endeavors. As a motivational speaker, she reached 3,500 students in all 5 boroughs, conducting seminars on enhancing time management, memory mnemonics, exam techniques and motivational strategies to scholars. She also supported students' needs by effectively promoting intellectual and social welfare.
