I am currently a licensed clinical professional counselor and a certified alcohol and drug counselor. I received my BA in psychology from the University of Arizona (Go Cats!) and then earned my MA in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I specialized in treating both mental health and substance abuse concerns.
My experience has primarily been with adults, adolescents, and their families who struggle with co-occurring issues, including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, mood instability, and trauma-related concerns. I specialize in treating all of these areas, as well as life transitions and PTSD.
The interventions I use most often to address these concerns include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and existentialism. I often integrate techniques from various theories because each offers unique value. Regardless of the approach, I always bring empathy and respect to therapy. I am committed to empowering my clients and working collaboratively to find solutions. I believe everyone needs help at some point, and I am here to support that process. If clients are unsure about therapy, that’s completely okay—I’m happy to meet them exactly where they are in their journey of change.
On a personal level, my passions include music, movies, sports, and art—all the good stuff. I also love to travel to visit family and friends spread across the globe!
