Getting to know Pamuela Halliwell

Hello and welcome! My name is Pamuela Halliwell (she/her), and I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. I've been working in the mental health field for the past 10 years, largely supporting folx who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, especially trans/nonbinary folx, military members-both active duty and transitioning out-and other marginalized communities such as African American, BIPOC, folx seeking asylum, and folx impacted by trauma. As a Black trans woman who has navigated her own transition, I incorporate both lived and professional experience to help folx tap into their own strength and resilience and become improved versions of themselves. Treatment modalities I use include TFCBT, CBT, EMDR, Solution Focused, Schema Therapy, and elements of Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and Narrative Therapy.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
