Hi, I’m Patricia Valencia, a licensed mental health counselor serving adults across New York and Connecticut. I specialize in supporting Gen X professionals—especially those navigating caregiving roles, career demands, and the emotional toll of always being “the strong one.”
Many of my clients come to therapy because they’re burnt out, exhausted, and overwhelmed. They’re caring for aging parents while still parenting their own children—some of whom have special needs. They’re managing staff at work, running businesses, juggling community responsibilities, and being the go-to person for everyone around them. On paper, their lives look “successful,” but inside, they feel stretched thin, emotionally depleted, and often disconnected from their own identity.
If you’ve found yourself wondering, “What about me?” or feeling like you're drowning in invisible labor, you're not alone. In our work together, you’ll have a space where you don’t have to perform or hold it all together. A space that’s just for you.
My therapy approach is warm, collaborative, and tailor made for you to reflect, and reconnect to yourself. Whether you’re navigating caregiver burnout, anxiety, grief, resentment, or identity shifts, I meet you with compassion and without judgment.
I offer virtual sessions Monday–Friday from 4 AM to 11 PM to accommodate the appointments, meetings and caregiving task that consume your days. You’ve spent years being there for everyone else—now it’s time to be there for you. Let’s begin.
