Getting to know Danielle Weiner

As a licensed mental health counselor in New York City, I understand how deeply our mental health can shape our quality of life. I work with adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and action-oriented, grounded in the belief that meaningful growth happens when insight is paired with practical tools. Together, we’ll identify what feels most helpful to you, communicate openly about your progress, and work toward lasting change. I draw on my training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and other evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and existential therapy. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College and completed additional training at the Albert Ellis Institute.

Really enjoyed my first therapy experience. Danielle made me feel comfortable and proud to take this step.
Most effective therapist I have had. I very quickly felt comfortable and we started making progress right away.

Actually so helpful
Amazing
Verified patient
It is not an exaggeration to say that Danielle helped change my life. I came to her at a very low point over a year ago, and she gave me a space and options to finally do something about issues i’d had all my life. Danielle asks the right questions and is an excellent listener - usually I end up doing most of the talking - but she helps guide me to my own conclusions. Danielle is never judgemental and I feel like I can be open with her and that leads to me being more open with myself. She was also instrumental in opening my eyes to medication and helped refer me. I would recommend Danielle 10/10 times - she helped me rediscover myself and has taught me a great deal. I look forward to our sessions.
Danielle is an amazing therapist. I've been in therapy before and neve really felt that I got much benefit. I was willing to try again and found Danielle. She is smart, calm and poised and instills confidence in me telling what I need to and also to receive feedback that makes sense. Btw, I'm older than she is which I though might be an issue but it definitely is not. Danielle has been really good for me and I highly recommend her.
Words can't express how much I have grown over the past couple years in therapy with Danielle. It has been extremely effective. I can't thank you enough for our work together!
Danielle has been a tremendous help in my wellness journey. She is a extremely receptive and always seems to have a way to help/address the situation being discussed. I have seen other therapists in the past and none have shown that they truly care like Danielle has. 10/10 would reccomend.
Danielle is very good at what she does!
This is what therapy should be like! Thank you!
I always hesitated to go to therapy, thinking I could handle things on my own. A friend recently had great things to say about Danielle, so I decided to give it a try . Working with Danielle has been a life changer. In a few words she shifts my thinking completely and I feel a huge weight lift from my shoulders. My only regret is not starting sooner. Danielle is a find, I highly recommend.
Danielle is a great therapist and has been incredibly helpful to me over the last year of working together. She is easy to talk to and quickly made me feel comfortable and heard. She has helped me to reframe my unhelpful ways of thinking and gave me practical tools to use in times of high anxiety. I am very happy with my overall experience working with Danielle and would highly recommend her!
Danielle is an incredible therapist. I’ve been seeing her for over two years now and I can confidently say that she has helped me improve my day-to-day life dramatically. I struggled a lot with self-confidence and anxiety and seeing Danielle has made a huge difference. She is a really great listener who gives great feedback and helps provide practical solutions to problems. I’m very thankful to have found Danielle, especially considering that she’s the first and still only therapist I’ve seen. I highly recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a therapist.
Danielle is really understanding and gave practical feedback to help me progress and work towards my goals and personal growth. I felt she is really patient and non judgmental. She really gets it and is fun to talk to. I truly feel better after each session. I’ve worked with a few therapists in the past and she is by far the best. Highly recommend!
I was so lucky to find Danielle in my search for a therapist. She is active in helping me figure out my problems and gives me perspective that I would have never thought of myself. She is not afraid to challenge me when I need it, and always does it in the most tactful and supportive way. I have grown more than I thought was possible with her help and would recommend her to anyone looking to change their life!
