Rebecca's expertise as a dance/movement therapist has been instrumental in helping me ease my anxiety and improve my sleep. She’s guided me in releasing tension and calming my mind before bedtime. The tailored movement exercises she provided helped me relax, allowing me to fall asleep faster and wake up feeling refreshed. Rebecca's unique approach to addressing anxiety through movement has made a remarkable difference in my overall well-being.
Rebecca is a phenomenal therapist. As someone who experienced narcissistic abuse since childhood it was extremely hard to find a trauma informed therapist who wouldn't say things like "well the family is just looking out for you". Rebecca recognized my psychological trauma that also affected my physical posture, my body language and the way I moved in a social setting. It was literally finding someone who understood what I was going through after a long search and going through therapists. As someone who is young and is much more informed about generational trauma and it's perpetuation she was such a huge help in helping me recognise the toxicity that I myself was upholding unintentionally to my own detriment. She knows how to integrate mind and body for healing. I feel like I only learned coping techniques from therapists before, with Rebecca I learned how to overcome I wish I found her earlier.
She is a very professional, empathetic therapist who is easy to relate to. I would highly recommend her for her very specialized skills. She is very caring, approachable and effective. I enthusiastically endorse her.
Rebecca's talent as a dance/movement therapist shines in her ability to seamlessly integrate the shamed and rejected parts of the self into the therapeutic journey. With her intuitive guidance, I felt safe to explore and express these hidden aspects through movement, experiencing a profound sense of release and healing. Rebecca's compassionate presence and skillful facilitation allowed me to reclaim and integrate these parts, fostering a greater sense of wholeness and self-acceptance. I highly recommend her as a therapist who excels in helping individuals integrate and heal the fragmented aspects of themselves.
Rebecca is a remarkable therapist who understands that talk therapy may not be suitable for everyone, particularly individuals with high anxiety like myself. With her expertise in dance/movement therapy, she skillfully addressed my subconscious fears and supported me in working through them. Through this process, I not only found newfound freedom in movement but also experienced personal growth and healing. Rebecca's guided approach, infused with loving-kindness and compassion, enabled me to integrate different aspects of myself, fostering a journey of self-discovery and transformation. I am truly grateful for her exceptional therapeutic support.
Rebecca is a wonderful therapist who helped me weave my inner joy into my daily routine through body-mind exercises. Her emphasis on creativity and strengths-based therapy was a refreshing change from past experiences with therapy. I appreciate her trauma informed approach and ability to blend various therapeutic modalities to create a holistic treatment plan. I highly recommend anyone looking for a compassionate and effective therapist.
Rebecca's trauma-informed and creative approach empowered me to love myself more and respond before reacting. Would highly recommended for anyone seeking a fresh and effective therapy experience.
I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca last year for 8 months. Rebecca helped me confront my pain, fears and negative thoughts by painting a holistic picture of my past, present and future. As a therapist she is receptive, warm and clear on how my needs and emotions matter and play into my perception of my self and others. I highly recommend for anyone who felt shame at any point in their life. She will help you return to your true aligned self. I no longer feel stuck!
I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca as my movement therapist to improve my sleep hygiene. Her vast knowledge of different movement exercises, including Kundalini yoga, allowed her to create a personalized routine tailored to my specific needs. Rebecca's patient and compassionate approach made me feel comfortable and confident in trying new movements. Since incorporating her routine into my daily life, I have noticed a significant improvement in my sleep. I would highly recommend Rebecca to anyone seeking to improve their sleep hygiene through movement therapy.
Rebecca is a truly innovative therapist. She understands that traditional talk therapy is not for everyone, especially over-achieving individuals like myself. Through dance and movement therapy, Rebecca helped me overcome subconscious blocks and frustrations, and I discovered a newfound freedom in movement.
Wow, what an incredible therapist. I had my first session with Rebecca at Movement Meets Therapy in March. Since then I have been seeing her continuously. She has helped me find peace in my body. My mind is clearer and thoughts more collected. I used to struggle with daily tasks and suffered from some anxiety. Since then I have been able to use the tools she taught me to overcome these struggles. Together we incorporated music, dance, and other interdisciplinary activities to help manage my stress. I enjoy our time together and she has helped me immensely.
Rebecca's knowledge of the neuroscience of mirroring spontaneous movements is impressive. She has a unique ability to guide clients through their emotional experiences without imposing her interpretation or projecting her own biases. Thanks to her approach, I was able to find closure and peace with my movement choices.
