Getting to know Erica Paragallo

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* Somewhere beneath the overthinking, the adapting and the years spent becoming who you needed to be to feel safe, there's a version of you that never left. It's simply been waiting to be remembered and welcomed home. Helping people reconnect with that authentic part of themselves is the work I love most. I support clients navigating complex trauma, family dynamics, anxiety, identity, neurodivergence, burnout, and the patterns that leave them feeling stuck. My approach blends warmth, intuition, imagination, and evidence-based practice because healing shouldn't feel overwhelming. It can be a meaningful process of growth, self-discovery, and deeper connection. Therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Together, we'll build an approach that honors your unique strengths, values, interests, goals, and the way your mind naturally works. My holistic, eclectic and integrative style draws on EMDR, trauma-informed CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, parts work, somatic mindfulness and art therapy to shift unhelpful patterns and build skills that actually fit your life. This work is deeply personal to me. My own relationship with identity, belonging, intergenerational patterns, and a late-diagnosed neurodivergent experience has shaped how I see the world and how I show up as a therapist. I strive to create a space where every part of you is welcome and met with curiosity, compassion, and a steady, affirming presence that fosters healing, self-acceptance, and belonging. You don't have to navigate this journey alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you, creating a space where growth can unfold at your own pace, as you find your way back to yourself. Erica Paragallo has a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. Erica is a Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW 116681 at Cerebral. Supervised by Hena Hoda, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, 088483.

What should a new client know about working with you?

It's easy for you to sense other people's feelings, but sometimes you feel misunderstood. You may overthink things, or you may be so intuitive that you can't tune out the noise of daily life. The gift of being highly sensitive can also come with internal struggles that may be hard for others to understand.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am a neurodiverse professional, artist, mother, empath, nature lover, and part-time animal rehabilitator on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. I identify as a pansexual and pantheistic cisgender woman. I use an eclectic approach that fully honors and recognizes the powerfully interwoven connection between mind, body, spirit, and heart. Towards that end, I am currently in the process of completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training program, with the intention of incorporating yoga, meditation, and healing touch into my future practice. I have always felt very passionate and drawn toward working in the field of disabilities. To honor this passion, I volunteer regularly at an Adult Resource Center, teaching art classes to adults with various intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to my passion for developing bonds between people, I am a fierce animal lover and cat lady, and I volunteer at a local animal shelter regularly.
