A Louisiana native, Ms. Ancar brings a deep understanding of family dynamics to her work.
Ms. Ancar has experience working with a wide range of clients and areas of focus, including depression, anxiety, and addiction/recovery. However, her specialty and passion lie in couples and family therapy. She utilizes a Contextual Therapy approach, considering all clients within their family of origin context. Relational health begins or is hindered at home, so processing and growing from past difficulties is essential for healthy, fulfilling relationships. Additionally, she incorporates facets of CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy to help clients develop effective coping skills to express and manage themselves beyond the therapy office.
Outside of work, Ms. Ancar enjoys spending time with family and friends, vacationing (in a pre-COVID world), and caring for her 6-month-old puppy. She is always open to a good book recommendation and aims to read at least two books per month.
