My name is Rosita D. Hermosillo, a Trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, minorities, immigrants, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

I’m EMDR, CBT, and DBT trained, and I am more than ready to use the best of my knowledge to help you thrive.
My focus
I specialize in working with a variety of populations including minorities, immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ community. I also have experience working with older adults, children, adolescents, and their families with a variety of diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, ADHD, ODD, and PTSD.
My communication style
I utilize client-centered and cultural-informed approaches. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives. I'm flexible, and down to earth, but at the same time, I can challenge my clients if I feel that is going to help them grow.
My journey to mental healthcare
I’m an immigrant/Latina, bilingual in Spanish, and English therapist. I was a high school. dropout until I decided to return to school. I started from zero, taking ESL (English as a second language) classes. I always had a passion for helping others, which is why I decided to study to become a therapist. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in adult mental health and a Bachelor’s degree in Socio-cultural Anthropology with a minor in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can share their stories, gain insight, increase personal strengths, and be themselves to have a happy and meaningful life.
