Vicki Rodrigue, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, my name is Vicki! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger, behavioral issues, and mood disorders. When I am not practicing therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family and my three dogs, attending country music concerts, being outdoors, and traveling. My approach My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of the individual I am working with. Although I use tools and techniques from many different models, I most frequently draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My focus I am open to working with individuals facing various life challenges and social pressures who want to build skills to feel stronger, more confident, and better equipped to navigate everyday life. This includes, but is not limited to, struggles with anxiety, depression, and anger. My communication style I listen to my clients in a calm, inviting manner. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can share openly and receive honest feedback, fostering trust in the therapeutic process and helping them reach their goals. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began early, driven by my love for helping others and a strong interest in behavior and mental health. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and continued my education at Pepperdine University, where I obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Throughout my schooling, I worked in various settings with children and adults experiencing mental health needs. My goals for you My approach to goal setting involves building a strong rapport with clients and understanding their reasons and goals for coming to therapy, so we can work collaboratively toward meaningful growth and healing.
