Getting to know Julee Loces

Hi there, I'm Julee! My name is Julee Loces, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I use a person-centered, individualized approach to therapy because I understand everyone is unique, with their own values, experiences, and struggles in life. My approach I strive to find the interventions that work best for each client while being trauma-informed and attachment-focused. I use various mindfulness skills to help my clients manage their emotions effectively, and I believe in using only evidence-based practices, such as EMDR and CBT, so we can count on seeing positive outcomes. My focus I have had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse races, cultures, and countries, addressing a wide range of issues. I have experience helping those who suffer from anxiety, depression, panic attacks, faith transitions, eating disorders, PTSD, and life stressors such as interpersonal relationships and school or job stress. My communication style My goal is to build a trusting relationship with my clients in a safe environment where they feel heard and motivated to take small steps toward positive change. I know that finding a therapist can feel like finding the right shoe that fits, so transparency and feedback are important parts of the therapeutic relationship. My goals for you I like to focus on the goals my clients identify for themselves. When a client can tell me what they want to be different, we work together to make small changes toward that goal. Monitoring progress is an important part of treatment. My first session with you In our first session, an Intake/Evaluation is conducted, which is a different experience from future sessions. I'll ask many questions about your history and the problem you want help with, and we'll begin creating some goals together.
