Sarah J. Heaverlo is a licensed professional counselor who has been in clinical practice since 2005. She graduated from George Fox University with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and also has a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Her graduate clinical project was the therapeutic application of mindfulness in clinical practice. Sarah believes we are all inherently seeking wholeness and connection with the world around us and within us. As Carl Jung once said, "The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are" and this is part of a therapeutic journey. Sarah's approach emphasizes mindfulness, positive psychology, neuroscience research for improving well-being, DBT, healthy boundary setting and developing resiliency/grit. Additional Specialized Certifications: Addictions (CADCI) and First Responders (ERPSCC). Outside of work, Sarah enjoys yoga, meditation, gardening, cooking, podcasts and travel.
