After recognizing my passion for the field of psychology, I pursued a bachelor's degree at St. Joseph's College. Following graduation, I continued my journey at Adelphi University where I completed their Mental Health Counseling program. Since then, I've obtained my license in Mental Health Counseling and completed advanced training in Couples Counseling through the Derner Institute at Adelphi University. I have been lecturing at St. Joseph's College and also routinely attend continuing education courses and supervision throughout the year to stay up to date in the field. I have recently started to expand by linking up with additional counselors in order to provide services to more people everyday.
Therapy is the process of reviewing your present situation with hopes of enacting positive change for your future self. You state your problems, where you'd like to be in the future, and answer questions about yourself that you may have forgotten, decided to ignore, or were unable to recognize at the time. You create a plan of action to enact change through understanding yourself and the impact you have on others and your environment. But before any of the work, the process starts with a relationship and is built on mutual trust. The counselors at Integrated Counseling look forward to beginning that process with you.
