In my work as a psychotherapist I take a holistic approach. The mind is not separate from the body, the heart or the spirit. Anxiety can be the result of a stressful circumstance, past trauma or distorted thinking, yet it can also result from digestive difficulties and treatment may therefore include a powerful daily probiotic. Although depression may be rooted in biochemical imbalances, it can also be linked to soul questioning or confusion about why we are here and what it all means. No matter the problem or struggle, transformation occurs when all aspects of the self are considered and supported.
I addition, I have a specialty in relationship and dating issues. Searching for a partner, managing the one you have or questioning your authentic values and desires for relationship is challenging. Having written extensively on the subjects of confidence, self-esteem and magnetism, I truly enjoy helping clients traverse the pitfalls of modern dating.
I am also certified in EMDR. This is a technique most useful in treating trauma--both acute and chronic.
Although I work with BCBS I do not take just straight insurance. Please indicate if you are a BCBS member so guidelines for insurance use can be discussed during our initial phone conversation.
