About Steven Braverman
Steven L. Braverman, PT, earned his Bachelor's in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has been practicing in New York State for over 30 years and has held roles including clinician, Clinical Director, Director of Physical Therapy, and Director of Rehabilitation at various companies throughout New York. Steven also owned and operated his own physical therapy practice in midtown Manhattan for 23 years. His areas of expertise include orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, and geriatric therapy. Steven's practice is great. I was able to book an appointment within one day of searching on ZocDoc. Steven evaluated my symptoms at the consultation and understood immediately how to treat the condition. His office staff was a great help in answering all my questions before and after the initial consultation. Steven even forwarded me a home exercise program almost immediately following the appointment, and he was transparent about insurance questions. I highly recommend Steven to anyone needing physical therapy.

The Goat of Physical Therapy! I am Steven's patient at Orthology for a neck injury. I've felt better only after two sessions with him and have visited over 5 physical therapists in the past. He is by far the best and on top of that is a funny and easy person to be around. His exercises are unique and challenging! I recommend him 100% you won't regret going to him and won't need another PT again.

Dr. Braverman always asks how your condition is upon arrival, which areas bother you the most, and targets those areas during therapy. He is able to talk through possible causes (if un-known) and develops treatment plans week to week. Effective PT w/ a fun personality. Always makes the patient comfortable, and the priority.

Steven is a great physical therapist! I have been a patient of Steven for several years for a chronic Achilles condition, and he's knowledgeable, professional, and really cares about his patients. He's got a great tableside manner and answers all my questions. His assistant is also great. I would definitely recommend Steven to anyone looking for a great PT in the city!

(For care of fully torn ACL). Steven has able to provide reassurance, understanding, and vision for my care from my first visit. I felt comfortable in the level of information provided and questions I had about the exercises, injury, or expectations were thoughtfully answered. Steven provides motivating feedback not only regarding the activities in studio, but guidance in navigating life (stairs, walking, etc.), to help see improvement in ways that really matter.

This is my second injury Dr. Braverman has helped me recover from (disk herniation in back and meniscus repair surgery of knee). Not only does Dr. Braverman explain everything but you know he truly cares for the recovery of his patients. I have personally recommended him and happy to say the person I recommended is also very happy to be his patient. We know he will get us on the road to recovery much faster with his help.
