About Tyron Medallo
Tyron—also known as “Ty” to friends– pursues his passions and goes all in for every patient he treats and every activity he enjoys. Professionally, this all-in mentality has served him well. He worked as a therapist in the Philippines for 5 years with success in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and in aquatics/sports settings. A truly rewarding time in his career. He then moved to NYC to work in the “big time.” After more than a decade of positive patient outcomes, he’s joined the team at Optum Physical Therapy. And with this new challenge, Ty says he “wants to keep rocking and go deeper in improving his skills as a physical therapist.” Another all-in passion of his is freediving. It’s an extraordinary pursuit—a challenging form of underwater diving based on the diver going as far down as possible, holding their breath until resurfacing. To be perfectly clear, that means no breathing apparatus! As you would guess, the measure of a great freediver is how far they can go. But it demands that the diver stay relaxed. It gives a PT like Ty a unique understanding of how the human body performs under stress. Ty is totally prepared for this unique endeavor. He’s a trained scuba diver, runner and does yoga. After all, part of going "all-in" is doing the hard work—continuing your education, gaining more expertise, executing against a plan. This is a man that knows what he’s doing. Every patient he meets knows they’re in good hands.

Tyron is an outstanding Physical Therapist. He is aware of the patient's specific needs, and tailors the PT session to those needs. He explains each part of the session clearly, and stays with the patient while the exercise is underway. Tyron's use of the devices and equipment shows he know exactly how to help his patient find relief from PT and walk away with a sense of accomplishment. Tyron's personal manner is pleasant and professional, attentive and eager to assist. I cannot say enough about how excellent Tyron is as a Physical Therapist; it is a pleasure to work with him.

Everyone at Orthology is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable ! Tyron is an incredible PT and listens to and addresses all of my concerns while I'm here, and also gives helpful exercises to do at home to speed up my recovery. You can tell that he knows exactly what he's talking about. He is a very thorough PT and I would absolutely recommend him.

Tyron Medallo is EXCELLENT! This was my 1st time at Orthology. I found Tyron to be very sensitive, as a practioner, to what my condition required. He took time to explain what was needed to ease current & future problems. I highly recommend Tyron!

He is a great PT, I wish I could seeing him and the rest of the team. They were really great and made me feel like family. I wish I could see them forever but since my insurance denied me access for more days, I can't. But I do miss going there and the staff.
