Welcome, and thank you for considering Victorious Living Solutions. My name is Vickie Sanderlin, and I am dedicated to providing services to children and pre-teens in a supportive way by honoring the personal journeys of the clients I serve.
My approach
I have worked in the mental health field for over thirty years, and I have a true passion for working with children and their families. I have experience working with a wide range of populations. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure response prevention, trauma-focused CBT, and Sand Tray.
My focus
I work with children and pre-teens (5 - 13 years old). I provide therapy for anxiety, depression, ADHD, Grief, and trauma.
My communication style
I believe in a calm, strength-based, and compassionate environment to support opportunities for transformation.
My journey to therapy
I first began my career as an addiction counselor and during that time I witnessed the significant difficulties children often face and became interested in providing services to young children to assist them with developing effective skills for managing their day-to-day lives. After over 30 years working in the social service field, my commitment assist children in gaining effective life skills remains the driving force for the services I provide.
My goals for you
I develop treatment plans based on the needs of the clients I serve. I work together with children and their parents in developing goals that assist clients with making positive changes.
My first session with you
For the first session, I meet with the client and their parent and conduct an assessment. I gather information regarding the client's functioning, presenting problems, family history, and desired treatment goals.
