She holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree from Texas State University. Wale believes that everyone needs a safe space to talk about life's difficult moments. Creating that safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel free to show up as your authentic self is her primary goal in every session. Using a humanistic and collaborative approach, she aims to help you develop insight and awareness into your struggles to foster healing and growth. She believes in meeting you where you are and walking beside you throughout your journey of enlightenment.
Wale approaches therapy with an eclectic, multiculturally competent perspective. She emphasizes the importance of exploring the history behind certain patterns in your life so you can begin to shift them and start living the life you want. Her role as your therapist is to support you through life's biggest moments, including life transitions, relationship issues, body image, depression, anxiety, trauma, cultural and multicultural identity issues, racial issues, gender and sexual identity development, and addiction. Sessions often incorporate Psychodynamic theory, Feminist theory, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and Gestalt theory.
