OH
Hi there, I'm Kylena! I currently hold an LICDC and LPCC in Ohio. Over the last 15 years, I have worked with a wide variety of disorders and demographics. I center my work around the client-no one knows themselves better. My approach I draw from multiple theoretical approaches and techniques, tailoring your treatment plan by selecting the most effective methods from various therapies, rather than adhering to one school of thought. My focus My style allows me to work with a wide range of clients dealing with various symptoms or disorders. I help with symptom management and coping skills, listening to tailor a treatment plan that fits your goals. My communication style My communication style is calm and engaging. I want clients to feel safe to tell me anything and pride myself on listening nonjudgmentally. My journey to mental healthcare I graduated from Lindsey Wilson College with an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling in 2012 and have been an LPC since 2013. I received my Independent Chemical Dependency License in 2021 and my LPCC in 2025. My goals for you Clients can expect to gain a deeper understanding of their emotions and thoughts, a safe space to discuss concerns, support identifying patterns and challenges, guidance on coping mechanisms, and strategies to address issues-all while feeling heard, validated, and empowered to make positive changes. My first session with you In our first session, we'll spend most of the time discussing your recent feelings and me asking questions to understand why you may feel that way. It's about building an initial connection and getting a sense of where to go from there.
