My name is Yael Shina-Louff and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In my ten years of experience, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to support many children, adolescents, and young adults through trying times. My experience includes providing therapy services and crisis management in various settings such as schools, homes, and clinics. While providing a wide range of support to many, my passion also lies in working with mothers-to-be, and those in their postpartum journey.
My approach
I am focused on providing a nurturing and brave space for individuals to grow. In doing so, I provide an individualized and strengths-based approach where one can build confidence with every step of their personalized journey. As a reliable, determined, and empathetic provider, I will be sure to provide a safe space for growth.
My focus
The individuals that I serve are typically experiencing life transitions that result in anxiety and/or depression, as well as concerns with self-esteem. Many of the individuals that I serve want to work on confidence, mindfulness, stress management, building positive coping skills, and/or self-regulation.
My communication style
I will always meet individuals where they need to be with respect to their mental health and will provide support accordingly. As each individual comes with a unique set of needs, I understand the importance of providing support at the pace necessary. I will assist in creating realistic goals that will help each individual thrive in the area desired, and will provide a safe and non-judgmental space.
My journey to therapy
I am a bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience supporting the mental health of individuals of all ages. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Social Work at New York University and received my Master's in Social Work at California State University, Long Beach.
