My name is Monet Goldman, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Vermont. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, East Bay, and a Bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic State University. I offer online therapy to clients in both states and in-person services in Santa Clara County. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy. My trauma therapy experience spans kids, teens, adults, and families involved in school, justice, and foster care systems. This work has brought me into diverse settings such as schools, homes, and detention facilities. My in-person services are based in Silicon Valley, where I work with adults in tech, finance, healthcare, education, law, and other fields facing challenges impacting work, relationships, and personal goals. My training equips me to address mental health issues including PTSD, anxiety, depression, family conflict, ADHD, aggressive behaviors, substance use, self-harm, motivational struggles, and social difficulties. I enjoy working with kids, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating life's challenges. Building a stronger sense of self through personal exploration and learning to navigate turbulent times offers many growth opportunities. I take a collaborative approach to understand your needs and goals. The client is often the expert, and I respect the unique strengths you bring. Together, we explore the whole picture, addressing areas for improvement while utilizing your strengths and building new skills. With a non-judgmental attitude, I honor the safe, engaging environment we create together, where healing can occur.

My approach is eclectic to fit your needs, help build your strengths, and create opportunities for growth. We'll create sustainable goals that align with your values and find strategies to overcome obstacles. My work draws from many years of helping adults, families, children, and couples in clinics, schools, and community settings.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy can be hard, so I want to make it comfortable for you. As a gamer, I use video games to help you feel at ease, build skills, & process your difficulties.
