Originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, Yolianys completed her Master’s Degree in Psychology in the Complutense University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain in 2004. She became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida in 2008 and has over 14 years of experience working with children and adults in different settings.
For over ten years, Yolianys has provided counseling to people dealing with medical diagnosis including cancer, HIV/AIDS assisting those people coping with the psychological, emotional, and social impact of their diagnosis.
Additionally, Yolianys became a Certified Addiction Professional in the State of Florida in 2012. Her experience also includes working with individuals with substance-related and addiction disorders alone or in comorbidity with mental health disorders.
Yolianys is also certified in the CLEAR program and Healthy Relationship program both programs directed to provide evidence-based effective tools to reduce risky behaviors among high-risk populations. Yolianys specializes in treating patients with different problematic behaviors, beliefs, and feelings including Depressive disorders, Anxiety disorders, Bipolar and related disorders, Adjustment disorder issues, bereavement/grief in individual, group, couple, and family setting.
Yolianys implements different counseling skills to assist clients to achieve their personal growth and gain greater insight into their lives to better accomplish their mental, social, wellness, education, and career goals.
