About Candace Burrell-Miramontes
Candace joined R Family Group in October 2017. She graduated in 2006 from Incarnate Word High School. Candace earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 from the University of the Incarnate Word. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2017 from the University of Texas, Arlington.
I pursued a Nurse Practitioner certification because I want to do more for my patients. I strongly believe that I can help patients get back to their optimal state of health by supporting them physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. As a Nurse Practitioner, my goal is to manage our patients’ health care across their lifespan in a changing health care system. My emphasis is on health promotion and primary care management of acute and stable chronically ill patients.

Dr. Burrell-Martinez is wonderful. She treated me like a human being, not just another #. She listened to me, we made a plan. I feel like she’s on my “team”. I’m very much looking forward to our next appt. The front office mentioned that even though I filled out ALL the paperwork thru ZocDoc they had no access to it, so I had to fill it ALL out again by hand.
