About Dr. Abraham Benshetrit

Dr. Avi grew up in Margate, NJ- a small shore town in Southern New Jersey. Dr. Avi worked in home construction and managed several family businesses. But, his work with the New Jersey Give Kids a Smile program drove him to want a career in dentistry. In 2013, Dr. Avi was accepted to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Avi worked with world-renowned clinicians who provided him with hands-on training in all fields of dentistry. He advanced his skills in surgical extractions and the diagnosis of oral pathologies through school run programs at the oral surgery departments of the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Care Dental, Dr. Avi worked in private practice in Philadelphia. He worked closely with his patients to provide individualized comprehensive dental care. Dr. Avi advanced his skills in Cosmetics, Endodontics, and Implant dentistry through nationally and internationally recognized mentors and courses over the last couple of years. He is especially proud of his most recent accomplishment of completing the rigorous year-long course with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Outside of the office, Dr. Avi enjoys spending quality time with his family and new Frenchie Pup. He stays active by frequenting the gym and participating in water sports. Some of his hobbies include repurposing vintage furniture and tuna fishing. Dr. Avi is passionate about the practice of dentistry and firmly believes in delivering only the highest level of care. He is excited to establish roots within our community and looks forward to providing our patients with personalized dental care.
