“Dr. Smith has been my dentist for almost 10 years and while I’ve occasionally seen other “specialists” I’ve always come back. He has tons of experience and does a great job while always addressing the questions and making one feel comfortable. He knows his limits and will send you to a specialized endodontics office for a difficult root canal, but otherwise he can tackle anything! The office is clean and the front desk staff is sweet and always helpful, they feel like family. Recently they went out of their way to fit me in for a last-minute appointment, they even called another patient to ask if they could swap their time with me. They did! The hygienists are always top-notch, today I had Lena and she was extremely thorough and most importantly, gentle. I’m sure there are higher-end dentists out there if you want perfect difficult cosmetic work but Dr. Smith is your trusted, experienced, friendly neighborhood dentist. Give him a try.”

About Dr. Adam Smith
Our mission is to treat the mouth knowing it is attached to a live person. Our informal atmosphere helps to relax patients. We keep up with continuing education through study clubs and other classes. We evaluate new technologies for relevance and cost-effectiveness; as such, we love to do cosmetic work, such as veneers, crowns, white fillings, and implants. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University.

Dr. Smith has many years of experience and is overall very knowledgeable. You can trust that he will recommend the appropriate treatment. He is patient when administering anesthesia and will make sure you have no pain. The office staff is approachable and professional and the office is clean. They recently hired a new hygienist who did a thorough job (1 and a half hour plus) with the cleaning and recommended several good products.

I can't BELIEVE how TERRIBLE this experience was!! Everyone (except maybe the secretary) was so condescending and rude, it didn't feel real. The office was filthy. More below.
The secretary at the front gave me a bit of a hard time with my insurance, but I was partially at fault, and she ended up being quite nice and by far the best person in the office.
The hygienist that started working on me was TRULY AWFUL. She was hacking up a lung coughing, sniffling, and not even covering her mouth. She touched so many things without a mask or gloves. When she started giving me x-rays, she FORGOT to put on the magnetic apron thing. COME ON. She had a ridiculous sneer the entire time, and pronounced her words SLOWLY like I was a deaf toddler. Are you serious?? I was at the top of my class at the country's best ivy league. I really couldn't believe how rude she was. I cannot emphasize this enough. Hygienist from H E L L.
The dentist also came in, talked slowly and very condescendingly, and told me how awful I was for being confused about insurance. Wow, thanks, definitely what I want to hear before you poke into my mouth. What a jerk!
The office itself was filthy. Rusty metal and dust everywhere. Disgusting.
I actually walked out about 10 minutes in because I could not believe how terrible this experience was. They should all be fired immediately for unprofessional, unacceptable conduct. (Except for the nice Russian secretary.) I'm normally a very kind, pacifistic pushover, so this is a really big deal for me. I wouldn't wish this dentist experience on my enemies.

I brought my son to see this dentist today and I would like to say that he was a really nice dentist and done an excellent job . the staff were also very helpful in dealing with my insurance efficient and pleasant made my life a lot easier . I myself am booked in next week and would have no problem recommending him .

Dr. Smith rocks! The filling from one of my teeth fell out over the weekend and I searched high and low for someone to see me nearby my home. No luck. Since I work in the city, I figured I'd find someone close to the office and Dr. Smith was the closest AND I was able to schedule an appointment online on Saturday evening with ease. Received a text message and email confirming my appt and printed all of the forms online and brought them with me completed. I was seen right away, tooth was filled in record time and I am an anxious/nervous patient in any dentists chair and Dr. Smith made me feel at ease. He's been in practice for over 30 yrs so he gets right to business. This was THE most seamless dentist visit I have ever had ever.

I have seen him for years, he is quick and it is painless, I like his honesty, he doesn't try to sell me procedures I don't need. Would not see any one else in the 13 years I have been in NYC . Who says to their dentist, "Wow, that's the best root canal I ever had !" Me!!!!! It was the truth, in 40 years , I have had enough dentists to know the difference!

The experience was average - nothing to rave about but no complaints. I arrived on time for my appointment and was seen right away. Office staff was cordial and seemed to know how to process my insurance. Hygienist did a great job and really knew what she was doing. Quick exam by doctor, he seemed to be in a rush but answered all of my questions. Not the most thorough dental exam that I've had but acceptable.

Dr. Smith perheps is the only dentists I ever seen who is not interested in making money off my teeth. He does not do any unnessesary procedure, and his hygienist is very professional in cleaning my teeth. He is a rare find! Highly recommended!
