About Dr. Adar Finkel

Dr. Adar Finkel is a board-eligible orthodontist who completed her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, with Cum Laude distinction once again. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Finkel returned to her native city of New York and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Equipped with expansive knowledge in general dentistry, Dr. Finkel worked as a general dentist for a few years; including working and learning alongside her father and brother, both passionate and talented dentists on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. While grateful for her experience in general dentistry, Dr. Finkel was still predominantly interested in the field of orthodontics and decided to pursue the specialty and returned to Columbia University for her orthodontic residency where she learned the latest techniques and treatment advances for patients of all ages. There, Dr. Finkel trained extensively in all aspects of orthodontics and earned her Masters in Science and certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Finkel's journey is characterized by a consistent commitment to learning and growth, cultivating a genuine passion for perfecting her practice of orthodontics. Additionally, her background knowledge as a general dentist allows her the unique ability to practice her specialty while simultaneously appreciating the bigger, multidisciplinary picture. Her journey continues at River Vale Orthodontics, using her artful eye, extraordinary bedside manner and academic excellence to deliver a future of radiant smiles and unyielding passion!
