About Dr. Alba Dugarte Newman
Dr. Alba Dugarte is originally from Venezuela and is a dual-trained prosthodontist. She earned her DDS degree from Universidad de Los Andes, Venezuela, in 2003. In 2007, she completed her MSD and Specialty in Prosthodontics at Universidad Central de Venezuela, where she worked as a part-time faculty member and in private practice for four years.
In 2011, she moved to the United States to pursue her Postdoctoral Certificate in Prosthodontics at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. In 2014, she relocated to Houston, Texas, where she has been working in private practice ever since. In January 2017, she joined the School of Dentistry at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, where she has been teaching for eight years.
In 2023, Dr. Dugarte opened her own practice, The Smile Center at Pearland, offering general dentistry as well as cosmetic and implant services. She continues to combine private practice with academic work and enjoys spending her free time with her family. She is happily married and has two daughters, Natalia and Victoria, who keep her busy outside the dental field. She also enjoys traveling and being with her loved ones.

Excellent experience Dr. Dugarte is very professional and approachable. She provided me with all the details of the procedure she performed and was very concerned about my confort through but all stages of my visits. Furthermor the entire staff performed their duties w/ respect, dilligence and care. All of them speak English and Spanish.

I love this place so much, I have really bad anxiety when it comes to dentists but the staff here are so welcoming and amaizing Dr. Dugarte and Emily the RDA are so sweet and patient. The front desk staff is so welcoming and friendly as well. They really truly care about their patients here and I recommend coming here if you are in need of a dentist.

My Dr. is awesome. First I knew it was the right place. You can feel the love when you walk in and I was afraid of dentists and pain but here you forget about it and don't forget the great staff. My dentures are beautiful the very first try. I love my dental family that are 1,000.

I can't begin to say what a marvelous experience I had Seeing + Dr. Dugarte. She is so very knowledgeable, Kind understanding, and sweet. The best dentist I have seen in my Life, and I have seen a few. Took me long enough. to find her. You will be lucky to have her as your dentist.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and professiona made me feel at ease Dr. Dugarte was thorough, gentle, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The atmosphere at this dental office is very welcoming, from the moment you walk through the door. The front desk receptionist, and other staff are very kind. Dr. Alba is one of the best dentist I've ever met. She is hands down an expert at what she does. Her communication style of practical and directness creates for a positive experience.

I have never cried at the dentist office from sheer joy. My veneer process has been a long journey before I got here. This angel of a clinician has been amazing to work with. Professional, caring, patient, and a teacher all along this process. Her staff are. also 5 star. If you want the best look no further.

Its always a pleasure to attend my dental appointments with Dr. Alba Dugarte. She is an excellent professional extremely knowledgeable, precise, and truly dedicated to her work. In addition to her technical Skill, she also stands out for the way she treats her patients with. genuine care, respect, and warmth.
