About Dr. Albert Yoo
Dr. Albert Yoo is a certified Periodontist, specializing in treatment of gum disease and dental implant surgery, with special interest in perio-prosthetics, advanced bone grafting, sinus lift procedures, and immediate implant placement.
A native New Yorker, he concluded his undergraduate studies at New York University. He was then accepted to the prestigious and highly selective Stony Brook University’s School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his Doctorate alongside a class comprised of only 40 students. Dr Yoo continued his postdoctoral training in Stony Brook where he obtained his specialty certificate in periodontology. He has been in private practice, specializing in periodontics and implant surgery since 2008. He has held teaching positions in Newark Beth Israel Hospital, New York Hospital of Queens and in Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Yoo is passionate about community outreach, and has founded and leads a yearly international dental mission trip to the island of Jamaica.
Currently residing in Long Island City, Dr. Yoo enjoys spending time with his family, fitness, reading and skateboarding.

Dr. Yoo has magical hands! I lost my teeth in
the back of my mouth needing implants and sinus lift and Dr. Yoo did all these in less than an hour and his team and professionalism was impressive. I would highly recommend Dr. Yoo if you need similar procedures!

I highly recommend Dr. Yoo if you need a dental implant. My root canal treated molar got reinfected and had to replace with a dental implant and Dr. Yoo was able to do this for me. It was very very quick (took less than 30minutes to do this!) and minimal pain afterwards. Front desk and the assistants all were very helpful at Upper East Smiles and I am excited to get a new tooth very soon!

I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Yoo and receive treatment from such a skilled and compassionate doctor.
Hopefully, I won't need another implant, but if I do, I'll definitely look for him again.

I was highly anticipating great pain but it did not happen. From anesthetic injections to implant surgery took about 40 minutes. It was painless and quick! I don't know why I was so nervous. I highly recommend Dr. Yoo and Upper East Smiles who needs dental implants!

Excellent experience! I was well-informed about my gum surgery in advance. The procedure was painless. All the staff at Upper East Smiles were very friendly. The office was transparent on the insurance coverage and copay.

Dr. Yoo was very kind and honest. I had two implants done. Now I can chew better. The whole process was smooth and I didn't have any problems. Dr. Yoo to put some bone before implants. It was painless. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Yoo is very professional, explains treatment in words & manner which is easy to understand. I was anticipating pain but was pleasantly surprised to have none after my tooth got pulled & implant placed, team at Upper East Smiles is the best, you really feel that they take best care of you, not just your teeth.
