Dr. Alberto Bordonaba was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Before he moved to the U.S. 14 years ago, and after his graduation, he practiced and taught dentistry at his alma mater for two years. Dr. Bordonaba had been drawn to New York's vibrant, diverse, and fast-paced energy since he was a teen, which is what inspired him to make the move and further his education and clinical expertise. At the University of Rochester, NY, he completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and specialized in Orofacial Pain/TMJ Disorders and later in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. His 15 years of training and 8 years of orthodontic practice in NYC have allowed him not only to diagnose and treat a comprehensive range of dental, facial, esthetic, and jaw-related conditions, but also to provide functional and esthetic results with patience, empathy, and a compassionate and personalized manner. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Bordonaba enjoys connecting with his patients about travel plans, architecture and cuisine. Outside the office, he loves hiking, traveling, skiing, and spending quality time with friends and family, but also appreciates down time reading and watching movies with his partner and their golden retriever, Baxter.
