About Dr. Aleah Cho
From as far back as she can remember, Dr. Cho wanted to make people smile. Though comedy entered Dr. Cho's mind, she ended up majoring in psychology before moving into dentistry, ending up with the best of both worlds - helping people and literally creating smiles.
Her early experiences with the dentist left her silently crying in the waiting room and prevented her from getting the care she needed later in life. Until one fateful day when she chipped her tooth and couldn’t avoid dentistry any longer. To her surprise, that day would change the course of her life and was so transformative, she herself decided to become a dentist.
Dr. Cho earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University Of Maryland School Of Dentistry. She graduated with honors and was elected to the Gorgas Odontological Society and the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. Following dental school, she remained at her alma mater to complete her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with a focus on CAD/CAM dentistry, Oral Surgery and Dental Implant placement and restoration.
Since 2016, Dr. Cho has served as a faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, teaching 3rd and 4th year dental students in comprehensive dentistry.
Outside the office you can find her spending quality time with her husband and their kiddo. Or cozying up with coffee or wine and a Netflix crime drama (shout out to criminal minds).

Staff was so nice and sent me friendly texts which I loved, nothing robotic! I came in and the staff was so friendly and I was seen literally as soon as I walked in (I’ve never experienced that in my life at a medical office). And my doctor was so kind too and answered all my questions. Glad I found them:)

My 2 cents - the doctor was very friendly, the office very clean and the staff very helpful. The only reason why I’m not ecstatic is cause I tend to prefer my physicians to be quite proactive and "plan" my health with me. I feel while the emphasis on friendliness is nice and for sure pleasant, I would have valued much more a longer and more proactive (from the doc’s side) conversation regarding my dental health, approaches to better the conditions that I already have, some home care tips etc. I feel I had to extract that out of the doc with fairly short responses from her.

Came to Dr. Cho for a second opinion and decided to stay with her. My current dentist thought I would need to pulled two of my teeth out and do implants. I really don't wanna do that. Dr. Cho checked my teeth and refer me to a Endodontist. The Endodontist scheduled to see me at the same day and confirmed that all I need is root canal. It's such a relief to know that I can keep my teeth.

I’m pretty terrified of the dentist for some very good reasons, so Dr. Cho read that and knew right away that I really don’t like the dentist. She was very sweet, we had a good conversation (in between tools lol) and I felt comfortable.

Dr. Cho was extremely thorough - she went over my dental X-rays and photos in depth and discussed the pros and cons of different treatment options, and made everything clear and easy to understand. The office is clean and professional and I was seen as soon as I filled out my paperwork.

Dr. Cho's office is very clean and the vibes are great. Dr. Cho herself is very friendly and explained everything she was doing to my teeth. She also showed me my x-rays and talked to me about next steps after finding a minor cavity during the routine cleaning. I was happy to book a follow up appointment to get the cavity filled and another 6-mo appointment for the next cleaning.

Best dentist office I have gone to! Super attentive, the atmosphere is so calming while they play soft music and in general the work done is magnificent. I was nervous at first since it’s been awhile that I got my teeth cleaned but they guided me through everything and made sure to inform me on what we will do before doing anything. 100/10 would recommend!

Dr. Cho is incredible. I needed a new dentist after changing jobs and moving to the area. Her space is beautiful and high tech, you can tell she’s invested in the best tools to serve her clients well. The office is clean, her staff are friendly and responsive and once you’re a client they have an easy to use contact for calling and texting.

I recently decided to switch dentists due my insurance not being correctly billed at a different office and was impressed with Dr. Cho and her staff's efficiency, transparency with billing, and compassion with regards to my care. Even though I booked my appointment same-day, Dr. Cho reached out to me before my appt. and confirmed that her office accepted my plan, and that services I booked would be covered.
Upon arrival I was seen immediately and had my x-rays and treatment completed in a timely manner. During treatment, Dr. Cho even did some things by hand as she noticed that I was sensitive to the water jet- no other dentist has ever thought to do this before! In addition before leaving, Dr. Cho went over my treatment plan and even was able to squeeze me in for some more procedures same day so that I was able to use my insurance before it expired.
I would HIGHLY recommend coming to Chosen Family Dentistry. They will work with you to ensure you get the best care possible!

Dr. Cho and her staff were amazing! The practice maintains state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Cho cleaned my teeth, reviewed my x-rays (with me) and discussed next steps forward. And, since I was a new patient - I received a "free" teeth whitening kit.
I highly recommend this practice since I have a very low "threshold" for pain and unprofessionalism.
