Firstly, the team at Pastel Dental is so wonderful. I’ve been to so many dentists and this is the first time that I actually looked forward to coming to my cleaning. All of the assistants are so personable and you can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do.
If I could describe Dr. Pastel in a couple words, I’d say he’s thorough and experienced. He analyzed and fixed my bite, which was super off due to poorly crafted fillings by other dentists. Now, after struggling with TMJ for years, I actually feel relief in my jaw and bite.
I have a lot of dental anxiety from past experiences. The team is very considerate of that and encourages any coping skills I lean on- for that, I’m so grateful.

Highly unprofessional staff especially the front desk associate Mrs. Patel. They are only concerned with making immediate profits and not concerned about taking the time to go thoroughly the dentist check up. I felt rushed and mentioned to the dental hygienist to make sure to polish my teeth with the dental varnish but she would rather just go through it quickly and try to finish within an hour of the appointment time which consisted of x-rays, cleaning, and consultation. The Dentist Alex Patel had to go back and do it all over again after I had complained. I would never recommend using Pastel Dental to anyone that wants to get their teeth cleaned, go elsewhere so you will not experience being rushed and disrespected as a new client. Immediate profits rather than looking to establish a continuing client/dentist relationship is very obvious at this establishment.

I come from a family of dentists and oral surgeons, so tend to be attentive to details regarding dental practices. Dr Pastel is an extremely capable dentist who has not forgotten the main reason for choosing this profession, which is truly caring for his patients. His office is filled with new and top of the line equipment, and his technique is equally superb. I have, and will continue, to recommend Dr Pastel and his caring staff to anyone who wants the best in dental care and technology.

Dr Alex is a soft spoken man who knows what he's doing. He's quick and efficient and engaged in the right amount of small talk. His wife runs the front desk and she's friendly and ready to help you with your insurance woes!
The only thing is that his DA did my polishing instead of him, and she can be quite rough with the suction. My willingness to recommend will probably increase with more visits.

I came in for teeth cleaning and then whitening. I needed the former, but in taking x-rays he discovered a problem with an old filling that could well have necessitated a root canal. He said this was a problem that needed fixing, and my teeth were plenty white, and I should consider doing what was best for my teeth. He was absolutely right. I couldn't afford both and he was sensitive to that fact. He was fantastic.

The doc was super nice and also the rest of the team is great. Only one little comment: I was the first appointment in the morning and came 5 minutes earlier and found the door closed, nearly walked away, because the opening time said 10 AM instead of 9...

Beautiful office, friendly staff. Came in with an emergency which was addressed on the spot. Root Canal procedure made painless and my new crown looks amaizing. Thank you dr. Pastel.
