About Dr. Alexander Lezhansky
Dr. Lezhansky graduated from New York University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed a one-year Residency in General Practice at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
He is an accredited member of The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He continually pursues continuing education in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, Orthodontics, Laser Dentistry, and many other areas to stay current with the latest techniques and technology available. Dr. Lezhansky is also a Clinical Instructor at New York University College of Dentistry in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care.

Dr. Lezhansky's office is clean, has a cheerful atmosphere, and is close to my apartment. He graduated from my alma mater NYU and now teaches at their dental school, so he's very qualified. He's my first dentist in NYC and I hope to keep coming back to him for a long time!
PS his dentist chair has a back massager built in!

Exceptional Dentist. Been visiting him for 5 years. Never waited for more than 5 minutes. He only accepts one patient at a time and hence there is never a wait at his office. Also, does NOT rush into recommending a root canal for every small cavity which may be there.

Dr. Lezhansky is very professional, has a great sense of humor, and always gets to the root of the problem. The office is very clean and welcoming, and the staff are helpful and kind. Never a long wait. I've been to his office in Brooklyn, as well, and would say the same for both locations. Best dentist!

Dr. Lezhansky did a fantastic job- Had a filling fall out and a cavity where the hole was. It was on the nerve- Should have been a root canal. The Dr was able to avoid this- kind mannerism, clean office, quick, great Dentist- Recommending to the whole office.

I was told by my previous dentist that I needed to extract my abscessed tooth which was a infected for 10 years. Dr Lezhansky was able to clean out the infection and save my tooth. Thanks to him I can still chew my food and keep this tooth for many more years to come. He's very professional, highly knowledgable, confident, informative, and passionate about his work. I have been seeing Dr Lezhansky for a few months now, and just love him. Being normally terrified of dentists, he put me at ease and made sure I was comfortable. He managed to save a tooth that my previous dentist wanted to pull, saving me a lot of money and pain (and a tooth!). His office is small, so I am always seen right at my appointment time, and his assistant Susan is very good as well.

My teeth are cleaned and I have follow ups scheduled. The hygienist was super calm and understanding because I moved a lot and afraid. She reassured me that everything was fine and my teeth look good. They are open late which is great for late workers like myself.

My cleaning visit at Dr Lezhansky's office was really great ! Susan was so welcoming when I arrived and I was seen right away. The Dr. took time to explain my oral health to me. And I was able to ask questions comfortably. I will definitely be back and Im so glad i found my new dentist in the city!

Have never waited for more than five minutes. The Doctor schedules only one appointment at a time. As a result there is never a wait in the office. Also, does not rush into unnecessary treatments.

This dentist's and his staff are scam artists. I went in for a routine cleaning and was informed by the hygenist everything was fine. A few weeks later Vlata (unprofessional and disgusting receptionist) called informing me my insurance authorized a procedure for my gums. When I confronted the hygenist about not informing me of the issue earlier she had no valid response and the receptionist stated, "you probably forgot being told." Long story short I had a second and third opinion and my teeth and gums are healthy! If you want professional and HONEST dental care and treatment avoid this charlaton's office.

thee very best dental experience i have had in years, wonderful staff, super clean, very curteous, did a very thorough cleaning on my teeth, and the most AMAZING Xray machine that took one picture of your mouth rather then a million and nothing put in your mouth.

He told me I had 5 cavities and tried to schedule an appointment immediately to fill them. I've never had a cavity before, so that seemed shocking. I started doubting him when he confused a sealant for a filled cavity. So, I got a second opinion and no cavities. I think it was a scam to make $.

Dr. Lezhansky was great! I've had some bad dentists in the past, and am very suspicious of them. He was nice to me from the minute i walked in the door, and actually did my cleaning himself! I have never had a dentist do the cleaning himself! The desk attendant was super nice too.

Dr. Lezhansky had me come in for multiple appts to have cavities filled. I asked him if I could do them all in one- to save on copays, and he said no. He also was condescending when I told him I was upset that I had cavities- since I brush and floss multiple times daily. I work in the medical profession and his bed side manner was not very professional in my opinion.

For someone who hasn't always been to fond of check ups in general Dr. Lezhansky made this the best experience ever! Very knowledgeable ,walked me through the steps of my problem areas and gave me a plan on how to go about fixing them. If you have problems, he definitely has solutions. He's a great dentist!
