About Dr. Alison Starkenburg

Born and raised in sunny South Florida, Dr. Starkenburg is a native of the Sunshine State. After attending college and Dental School at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), she spent five years working as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy. Her time in the Dental Corps included a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Walter Reed in D.C., two years drilling and filling teeth at sea aboard an aircraft carrier (the U.S.S. Carl Vinson), and two years leading a dental clinic in Seattle. Always fascinated by the wonders of Orthodontics, she then pursued her specialty education for three years at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys staying active with cycling, hot yoga and functional fitness, as well as experimenting in the kitchen, especially with Florida’s fresh seafood. Dr. Starkenburg cannot wait to bring radiant smiles to the Tampa Bay Area!
