About Dr. Allison DeRenzi

Dr. Allison DeRenzi is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered surgical care. A New Jersey native from Mendham, Dr. DeRenzi combines her advanced surgical expertise with a genuine commitment to improving her patients’ oral health, function, and confidence. Dr. DeRenzi earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. During her time at Columbia, she gained invaluable experience assisting with both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. Throughout dental school, Dr. DeRenzi demonstrated exceptional leadership and academic excellence. She served as President of the Student Government Association and was recognized with two of the school’s highest honors: the Ella Marie Ewell Award for exemplary leadership and the Dr. Dennis Lee Scholarship Fund Award for outstanding academic achievement. After earning her dental degree, Dr. DeRenzi returned to New Jersey to complete her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine / University Hospital in Newark, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Her training encompassed the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including complex facial trauma, benign and malignant pathology, reconstructive procedures, nerve repair, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, cosmetic surgery, and outpatient anesthesia. She also has extensive expertise in wisdom teeth removal, complex bone grafting, and dental implant placement. Dr. DeRenzi maintains active membership in several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the American Dental Association (ADA), reflecting her ongoing commitment to excellence, continuing education, and the advancement of her specialty.
