About Dr. Ammar Al-Mahdi
The first thing you will notice about Dr. Ammar when you enter our practice is his genuine enthusiasm and passion for the orthodontic field and his patients. Dr. Ammar makes it a personal goal to bring every single patient that joins the Elite Family the smile of their dreams by utilizing his expertise, the newest technologies and innovations in the orthodontic world, and most importantly, his love for people. His ability to transform smiles is second to none, so with him, you can expect to smile forever.
Dr. Ammar is a board-certified orthodontist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the college of diplomates, and a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Society, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. He has participated and published articles in the most respected journals of orthodontics, and holds a patent on a device to upright impacted lower second molars. He is a proud graduate of one of the most prestigious orthodontic programs, The Ohio State University, where he earned his certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Dr. Ammar also earned a certificate in craniofacial anomalies treatment and his master’s degree.
Dr. Ammar is an expert in methods of orthodontic treatment, including conventional braces, aesthetic clear braces, Invisible clear aligners, lingual orthodontics, surgical orthodontics, surgically assisted accelerated orthodontics, and early interceptive orthodontic treatment.
