I recommend Dr. Velastegui as a dental surgeon. She's very knowledgeable and attentive. She cares for her patient so much that she even opened the office on a Sunday when my temporary bridge broke! About Dr. Ana Velastegui
Dr. Ana Velastegui is a second-generation dentist with a lifelong passion for creating healthy smiles. Born in Ecuador, she moved to New York with her family at the age of 12.
In 2018, Dr. Velastegui moved to Buffalo, NY, to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2022. Afterward, she returned to Queens, NY, to give back to the community where she was raised and completed her General Practice Residency (GPR) at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 2023.
In addition to her ongoing education, Dr. Velastegui is actively involved in the dental community. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Queens County Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Her active participation in these organizations underscores her dedication to providing exceptional care and contributing to the advancement of the dental profession.

I needed a tooth extracted which to me is always anxiety producing. My general dentist, Dr. Brodsky recommended Dr. Ana who was able to see me within 2 days. She had a very calming demeanor and was very professional. She explained what she was doing every step of the way which put me very much at ease. The procedure was very smooth and comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Ana and the Brodsky practice!

Dr. Velastagui is a superb dentist: kind, thorough, really professional, with a light touch, which is particularly important when administering Novacaine and treating root canal. I feel safe and comfortable in her presence...

These ladies demonstrate a high degree of professionalism together with a well-honed sense of what the human mouth should look like, as well as function. This combination of qualities sets them apart from any dental practice I have used over a long lifetime. At the outset they developed a treatment plan and explained it clearly. My mouth has never looked as good or functioned as well. These are the teeth I can only wish I had been born with.
