About Dr. Angel Velazquez
We are a state-of-the-art general practice office in Coral Gables. We have the latest technology in Miami to treat root canals in one appointment and offer injection-free anesthetics for gum disease. We are one of the few offices in Miami that provide single-appointment porcelain CEREC crowns. Our services also include tooth-colored fillings and bondings, Invisalign, Arestin, BOTOX, TMJ treatment, and night guards. We offer surgical placement and restoration of dental implants in Coral Gables, wisdom teeth extractions in Miami, as well as complete and partial dentures and overdentures.
Dr. Angel L. Velazquez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. In 1999, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry, where he received several honor scholarships and graduated in the top five percent of his class. That same year, he completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Velazquez practiced as an associate in several Miami-Dade offices before establishing his own practice in Coral Gables. He completed over 100 hours of continuing education at the Robert Morgan Educational Center & Technical College, focusing on endodontics, and 144 hours at the Miami Implant Dentistry Continuum, perfecting surgical implant placement. Additionally, he completed a year of study in endodontics and pursued further training in cosmetic dentistry, veneers, Invisalign, Nitrous Oxide Conscious Sedation, CEREC crowns, periodontics, BOTOX, and orthodontics through Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.
Dr. Velazquez and his staff have worked hard to learn how to best serve the clients who call AVM Dentistry their “Dental Home.” He is also the President and Director of AVM Dental Assistant School in Coral Gables, FL.

Excellent first visit with Dr. Velasquez. He communicated very clearly what he saw and the treatment needed. He was extremely reassuring and positive which made me feel at ease. I had almost no wait time and his staff was excellent as well. I 100% recommend him to anyone with fear or anxiety of seeing the dentist.

Dr Velazquez' office and staff were wonderful. Prior the appt they called to reconfirm and make sure I could find the office. When I got there they took care of me right away and the staff and the Dr himself took care of what I needed and explained to me with details what needs to be addressed in future consultations. Everything was clear and transparent. I'm planing on going back for other treatments/procedures.

Im very “picky” choosing medical providers and I have “0” tolerance when I see unprofessional staff and lack of best medical practices which means I gave an A+ and I cant wait for my next treatment follow up.
