About Dr. Anita Kianimanesh

Dr. Anita Kianimanesh (Dr. Kiani) earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in 2007.
She practiced dentistry in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for several years before relocating to Virginia with her husband and young daughter. Dr. Kiani is proud to be the founder of Purple Plum Dentistry, driven by her passion for dentistry and commitment to high-quality patient care.
She is passionate about all areas of dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry, and works diligently in pursuit of excellence in the field. Dr. Kiani is a member of several dental associations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kiani enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She also has a love for classical music and plays the piano.

This was the first experience with a dentist where I was actually given explanations and background along with outlines of my options. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to my care.

The doctors were very good with what they do. They truly cared for the patient. I was a bit concerned about how far my insurance cover and how much my teeth would cost me. But they addressed all my concern without me asking after the first thorough consultation.
They did a full scan, asked about my expectations, and provided a comprehensive plan of improving my dental health in different steps, laying out the cavity problem that should be addressed immediately, the optional filling that would be done best with teeth whitening first and the long-term orthodontics to solve my overbite problem.
The best part is that they would communicate with your insurance provider to find out about the coverage and includes that in the plan they give you to consider.
I did the cavity, ZOOM whitening and fillings. The results are of course satisfying. And the doctors were extremely nice and patient with their work.
Every price and procedure is very transparent to customers.

Incredibly thorough care, but perhaps too thorough. Sometimes you want to just get a cleaning and quick check-up. My appointment lasted 2 hours. After x-rays they discussed every single one of my teeth.

Very friendly and comforting office staff ! I have severe dental anxiety and they made me feel so comfortable, safe and at ease. They’re incredibly thorough and make sure you’re comfortable with the plan of care before anything is done. Everything is explained in detail.

The visit was excellent from start to finish. Very thorough and I appreciate all the information shared with me for my treatment plan and options. I highly recommend and am confident that this is the best practice for me. My only suggestion is that they share at the beginning the duration of the appointment (was there almost 2 hours, it was necessary for cleaning and consultation, no wait time).

Absolutely amazing. They took time to sit down with me and talk preventative measures and answered all my questions. They also went over my treatment plan, costs, and let me choose exactly how I wanted to go forward. Amazing dentist and staff! Absolutely phenomenal treatment.

Purple Plum is the best dentist office I have ever been to! Dr. Anita Kianimanesh is incredible- she is so gentle and kind, and keeps you informed and comfortable every step of the way. I was seen immediately and barely had to wait during the appointment. The entire staff is wonderful and so welcoming and kind! I’ve always been super nervous at the dentist, but I I felt relaxed during the entire appointment. I recommend her and this dentist office to everyone I know!

Very friendly--both the doctor and her staff. Everyone was very welcoming, made you feel instantly at home and very comfortable. Dr. Kiana was very open about discussing any issues she saw, potential options for approaching/treating, etc. Was really great to have explanation in detail of the concerns, and any questions I had about what that would mean going forward. At no time did I feel any pressure to move forward immediately with a treatment plan, which was really nice to have some time to think about it. Overall very pleased and would highly recommend this dentist to anyone looking.

I genuinely felt like Dr. K cared about me. After seeing a dentist who quite frankly didn't give two shakes about me or my dental health, so Dr. K was a breath of fresh air. She is super professional, kind and caring, and gives patients all of the information needed so they can make the best decisions regarding their dental health. I am so grateful to her and her team, and will definitely be back.

I have been in the DMV area for about 3 years and have seen 3 dentist. Dr. Anita is truly one of the best dentist that I have ever encountered. She and her staff are very friendly and professional and the office space is nice and clean. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time necessary to explain the problem and what she recommends as a solution. Dr. Anita, was very transparent and caring during my visit. She has definitely gained a new patient as long as I am in the area and I would recommend her to someone looking for a new dentist.

Dr. Kianimanesh is one of the best dentists I've had. From the moment I first met her, she was warm, friendly and welcoming. Then once the visit was completed, her overview was thorough and complete. And, behind every good dentist, there's a good office. Every person on the staff was highly professional, cheerful and on point. 10/10, five stars, A+ ... However you want to score them, they deserve the best marks. I have certainly found my dentist until I move again.

The office was extremely welcoming. I could not find my way into the correct parking garage and the office manager stayed in the phone with until she saw me and guided me in. (How many offices offer that type of service? Few if any.). Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable. I did not feel rushed at any point during my appointment and all questions were answered.
