About Dr. Anita Paulus

Dr. Anita Paulus has a genuine dedication in helping others feel and look better. She also has a rare blend of clinical excellence and friendliness.
Dr. Anita Paulus was born in England where her parents, originally from India, were living while her father completed his surgical residency. Her early childhood years were spent residing in Canada. At age 15, Dr. Paulus and her family moved to Lubbock, Texas, where her father continues to practice as a general surgeon.
After receiving an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Dr. Paulus continued her education by attending Baylor College of Dentistry. She graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1990.
Dr. Paulus practices all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular love for cosmetic dentistry. She has participated in some of the most advanced and respected cosmetic dentistry programs in the world. Dr. Paulus has trained at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Pete Dawson's Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida and Baylor College of Dentistry's Advanced Restorative Aesthetics. She is certified in lasers and Invisalign, as well.
Dr. Paulus is married to Dr. William Paulus, an orthodontist, and they have two daughters: Christina and Lauren. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Paulus enjoys scuba diving, traveling, hiking, snow skiing and water skiing with her family.

Like one of the other reviewers, my main complaint was the additional services that were done (and charged) without asking me if I'd even like them. I went in for a simple cleaning, and walked out with literally hundreds of dollars of additional charges for services I didn't ask for, and was not told I was being charged for. When I paid, I received a simple receipt without any details of what I was billed for. I thought it seemed a little steep, but was shocked when I received a detailed statement in the mail (after I called to request it). The cleaning itself lasted about 5 minutes, and was a joke compared to every other cleaning I've had at previous dentists in my life. Overall, Dr Paulus was nice, but I would never recommend an office that is so deceptive about billing.
