About Dr. Aparna Gottumukkula
Dr. Aparna Gottumukkula uses her extensive experience to provide the most comprehensive dental care possible. Dr. Aparna graduated from SDM College of Dental Sciences followed by a one-year internship at Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. She came to the United States in 1997 to attend Boston University School of Dental Medicine and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2001.
In 2005, Dr. Aparna moved to the Midwest to practice dentistry and raise a family.
Dr. Aparna has been practicing in Plainfield since opening in 2010 and has worked in public health for over 10 years. She is a member of the American Dental Society, the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, and the Chicago Dental Society. She attends many continuing education courses each year and enjoys the camaraderie of many local specialists.
Dr. Aparna resides in Aurora with her two children. In her spare time she likes to cook, watch sporting events, read, and spend time with her family and friends.

My experience was very poor. I am elderly and they obviously did not read my medical history prior to seeing me. They just began the routine cleaning, x=rays, etc. that they would do with any patient. I was laid flat in the chair and I felt that I was treated roughly. Since I have a mouthful of bridges, inlays crowns - x-rays were not very helpful. I was never asked what I wanted - why I came to the dentist, etc. When the cleaning was in process, I experienced chest pains and I have not felt well since then. The primary reason that I came to this office was to have fillings replaced on my two front teeth. The porcelain filling that was in place fell out recently.
I probably will return - but only to have my front teeth taken care of. I recently moved to Illinois and I did not have any experience with dental facilities here.

Dr. Aparna is not only highly skilled but also takes the time to explain every step of the process, which really put me at ease. The procedure was smooth, painless, and thorough.

My son had few dental appointments at Valley Dental Care of Plainfield location. We are incredibly impressed with the level of care we received. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable.
The staff were all friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Our Hygienist was gentle, thorough and explained everything she was doing. Dr. Aparna was also fantastic. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answered all the questions patiently and provided us with clear treatment options.
The office itself was clean, modern and well maintained.
I highly recommend Valley Dental Care to anyone looking for a top quality dental practice
