Dr. Ariel Farahi is a dual-degree, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who grew up in the Los Angeles area. His educational journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he started his undergraduate studies. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree at the top of his class. Continuing at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). Dr. Farahi completed his General Surgery training, including rotations in Plastic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Neurosurgery, Critical Care, as well as General and Pediatric Anesthesia, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He subsequently completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania, serving as chief resident. Following residency, he completed a prestigious one-year fellowship in Advanced Orthognathic, Facial Reconstructive, and Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Alfi Oral, Dental Implant & Facial Surgery in the Texas Medical Center. His surgical training focused on the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including corrective jaw surgery, with heavy emphasis on dental implants, complex bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, and general anesthesia. Dr. Farahi has received numerous awards, including honors from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS). He has been published in book chapters and scientific journals, including the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Farahi enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Marni, son, Jamie, and daughter, Naomi. His hobbies include basketball (especially watching his Lakers), golfing, and spending time outdoors.
