Solid Dentist!
He knows what he is doing may not talk your head off but my tooth feels great.
He removed tooth and placed bone graft. Before I knew it procedure was over with relatively no pain (local pain injection only).
No issues with follow up 3 weeks later.
Friendly and knowledgable staff.
Didn’t feel like I felt with other dentist trying to squeeze every dollar out of you before you leave office.
Kudos to him and his staff!

getting a new dentist isn't easy, especially if there has been a long period of time since your last visit to one. the dentist was efficient and was a no nonsense person who told me what kinda is damage was there and what the next steps were gonna be

Clear communication and directly helped me with my dental problems (cavity!) right away. Will be going here for any dental cleanings and concerns. The whole thing (booking, check in, and apt) was quick, easy and painless. For someone with a lot of tooth sensitivity that seems like a miracle :)

Fast service, nice staff, I had requested night guards to be made prior to my first cleaning and they were fully prepared and walked me through the billing of it all and had them ready in 2 days! Would definitely recommend

I was actually referred to this dentist by my husband. We both agreed that he was professional and very nice. I will admit that I am not the type to chat it up with folks (I am quite introverted), so I appreciate little to no small talk from him and his staff. If that’s your jam, maybe not the place for you. However, the facilities were clean, the scheduling and workflow appears efficient as I experienced no delay in my provision of care. He and his team explains every procedure thoroughly and is transparent about what your actual clinical needs are and what you may have to pay for. I’ve had past dentists that have tried to upsell me fancy stuff and he is just straightforward and to the point. I’ve so far had good experiences with my teeth cleaning and crown placement.

The staff are so so helpful! I was seen very promptly -- I've never had such a quick and easy visit to the dentist! They showed me very clear pictures of my cavities and explained what was going on. They printed out a clear invoice showing what my insurance covers and what it doesn't *before* any procedures. Everything was clear, and they didn't push me to do extra-cost cleanings or procedures like I've seen other dentists do.

Not a great dentist, as a new patient, never asked for prior dental history which should be standard practice. X-ray equipment was unsanitary and dental procedure seemed rather careless and rushed. He was quick to suggest required follow up treatments and procedures with little to no explanation so hard to determine if really necessary or he just wants to make more cash

Moved into the Oakland area, Dr. Babak Ghassemi was my first dentist and it's right around the corner. This app allows me to leave a comment. So I left a comment on how to communicate with a Deaf patient. I was impressed with the front desk service, they acknowledge my comments. Also taken an x-ray and they communicate with paper and pen which is good because Communication and transparency are extremely important to me.
Now, When Dr. Ghassemi comes in he greets by waving saying hi. Which is nice, then does the checking pokes - They did it quick and it seems like they're in a rush into something that I don't know. But the Dr. Ghassemi's assistant wrote on what I needed to get it done and showed me the x-ray which is good. Felt extremely rushed. I'll give them a second chance and see how I feel.

The doctor or office admin did not review my insurance coverage and what/how each dental service cost would be before the service.
If knowing the cost of each type of service and why I need the service would help plan and budget my costs and coverage accordingly. Booking a consultation should be of that type of conversation.

Such a relief to find a good & honest dentist! Moved here from out of state and went into panic and dentist search scramble for what I thought was a dental emergency ( right before a scheduled vacation).
Dr Ghassemi explained what the issue was with my tooth and advised that I do nothing today as it could compromise my invisible aligner treatment! I was willing to pay whatever to just get this fixed before my travels. Appreciative of his willingness to explain everything to me, his honesty and professionalism. I found my new Dentist!
