Dr. Gajjar attended New York University College of Dentistry, where he received his doctor of dental surgery degree and completed his general practice residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Gajjar is a dentist at Dr. Strachan & Gajjar General, Implant, and Laser Dentistry, where he sees patients for a variety of reasons, including dental consultations, gum surgery, dental implants, root canals, laser therapy, and cosmetic dentistry. He holds fellowships with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the World Clinical Laser Institute.
Dr. Gajjar is well known among his peers as an educator. From the early age of 14 when he started teaching medical students in human anatomy to the present where he trains dental residents at NYU Langone/Lutheran Medical center. Dr. Gajjar also provides continuing education courses for other dentists.

The office is efficiently run and the dentist was very clear. He explained symptoms and causes and devised a treatment plan that makes sense. Also, the receptionist took the time to look at the treatment plan and price it for me. Going to the dentist for anything besides routine cleaning can be unaffordable. By far the best experience I've ever had at a dentist's. I have been recommending Dr. Gajjar and his team to everyone I know. I came in for a routine dental cleaning and had a second follow-up appointment to patch up some fillings a couple weeks later. Both visits went smoothly, everything was on time and the service was impeccable.
The office is conveniently located in Downtown Brooklyn. All of the staff members were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. One of the receptionists thoughtfully priced out my out-of-pocket expenses for the dental procedure I was planning. Dr. Gajjar took the time to review each dental x-ray with me and encouraged me to ask questions. It was clear he genuinely enjoys working with his patients and treats them with respect. I will be returning to Dr. Gajjar's for all of my dental needs.

Great experience all around. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and informative. I have never had such clear explanations of healthcare costs before (and I wish the person explaining my costs and how my coverage worked helped healthcare companies be less confusing). Dr Gajjar was friendly and walked me thru every step of the process and helped me decide on a plan for followup visits, but without being remotely pushy.

Dr. Gajjar was wonderful. I hadn't been to a dentist in awhile (+4 years). He was very helpful in communicating what steps we should take to get me back to optimal oral health.
He did the cleaning himself and went over the X-rays with me. My father is an NYU dental graduate as well and I'm sure he will be pleased to know good dentists like Dr. Gajjar are continuing the strong tradition. The fact that Dr G also continues to teach was a key factor in me selecting him as my dentist.
